Jacana carries the TK suffix as he was the third Friesian foal we bred. He is the first foal of Ymkje Z, born in the Netherlands and imported to Australia along with his dam. He is by the FPS Licensed Stallion, Ulke.

Jacana stunned us all by being presented with the prestigious First Premium at his foal classification in the Netherlands. Only around 5% of foals receive this award. Now as an adult, he has certainly lived up to his early promise which indicated that e would have a very refined stallion, with a long arched neck which is well set on to the shoulder.  Jacana just floats over the ground with his magical paces and has broken in to be a wonderful performance stallion.

Jacana TK has enjoyed a very successful early Dressage career.  He broke in exceptionally well and has delighted his trainer and rider Jeremy Janjic, as well as the judges and spectators who comment very favourably about his appeal and charisma plus his exciting paces and very trainable temperament.  Jacana's early outings saw him finish with wins and good placings against top horses in open company and in the Young Dressage Horse qualifiers.  He earned himself a spot in the final of the 5 YO Australian Young Dressage Championships at Dressage with the Stars in Melbourne, April 2008.  We were delighted with Jacana's performance and a 9th placing from a large field of the best youngsters in the land was a thrill ... and certainly gained quite a lot of new fans of the Friesian horse.  Jacana placed 8th in the 5 year  old YH finals at the 2008 Sydney CDI. He qualified for the 2008 State Championships in the Novice classes and is training at Elementary level.

Jacana TK is now rising 6 and has exceeded our expectations as a riding horse - and is proving to have even more talent for Dressage than Django - so the future is sure to see some exciting performances from Jacana TK and he will be presented at the 2009 Keuring.
